Make Them Smile Band-Aid Drive
(Florida)- Florida Nursing Student Association, Lauren Coldren Region 5 Director, Community Health
Chair announced today that the FNSA will host a Make Them Smile Band-Aid Drive on August 1September 30th. This campaign will encourage nursing schools throughout the state to hold band-aid
drives to collect character band-aids that will be distributed to pediatric hospitals around Florida.
This band-aid drive is an easy way for nursing students throughout the state to work together to collect
band-aids to help make pediatric patients smile. Students should collect un-opened boxes of character,
latex-free Band-Aids throughout the months of August and September.
FNSA has been around for 60 years and has provided nursing students throughout Florida with the
resources to positively impact the lives of Florida individuals and families. There are over 4,000 nursing
student members who take part in FNSA activities that include community outreach, healthcare
legislation, and professional development.
Character Band-Aids will be distributed to local Acute Pediatric units. For additional information on
where to donate call Lauren Coldren at FNSA (561) 294-9406, or email FNSARegion5@gmail.com,
