7 principals of the Constitution- Looking at the 7 principles sheet, you will illustrate the metaphor on
paper what the principles of the constitution are based on.
Government vocab sort- using the government vocabulary terms provided, you will sort the words into
the appropriate branch.
Who am I poem- Choose one person: James Madison, James Iredell, and George Mason. Then write a
“who am I” poem based on the information you found about that person and their accomplishments.
Preamble word collage- Use magazines and pictures to create the preamble of the Constitution.
Federalism- Looking at the federalism chart, choose one example out of each column and find an article
that depicts how federalism is being used today (giving a total of 3 articles).
Checks and Balances Powerpoint- Choose 5 questions to answer from the checks and balances sheet
and create a powerpoint with question, answer, and picture (giving a total of 5 slides).
Children’s Book Bill of Rights- Create a story that includes the Bill of Rights. Story needs to be in a book
format that has pictures.
NC Constitution- Looking at North Carolina’s constitution, choose a song to rewrite the lyrics plugging in
North Carolina’s constitution, beliefs, and values (song needs to be school appropriate).
Video of how a bill becomes a law- Using the Xtranormal website, create a video that explains how a bill
becomes a law.
