Prep, prime and paint entire Nursing Home Care Unit (NHCU) 64 residence rooms, 3
Hallways & doors, except rooms: Entrance and rooms: 3, 6, E-19A, 30, 31, 32, 33, &
34 except as needed for touchup. Prime with Duron (or other vendor’s Multispec)
Multispec Basecoat tinted to the color of the predominant fleck color. Use of Multispec
Speckle Effects special reticulated foam roller cover and corner roller is required. Paint
walls with Multispec WaterColors paint; color selection as noted on prints. Ceilings are
to be painted with a high quality latex, low odor white paint and appropriate primer
where required. Most ceilings are lay-in tile and do not require painting. Remove and
Replace hand rails in order to roll paint behind them. Metal will be painted with DTM.
Color selection is to match base color for the Multispec top coat used in adjacent area.
As the NHCU will be occupied during work, contractor will only receive a limited
number of rooms at a time. Typically there will only be 2-4 rooms. Contractor is
required to adjust his schedule to coordinate with the NHCU’s needs. Follow paint
manufacturer’s specifications for all work. Install new rubber wall base in all rooms but
not in corridors.
The contractor is to move or cover furniture and fixtures as necessary to accommodate
their work
