Suitable headwear, and boots must be worn. Shorts, singlets, thongs, joggers, and similar attire are not permitted. Junior competitors are reminded of the mandatory ruling regarding the compulsory wearing of AS/NZS 3838:1998 or EN 1384 or ASTN F1163 helmets in ALL EVENTS. This ruling will be enforced with no exception due to liability insurance requirements. All persons must fill out indemnity form to compete. Exhibitors shall at all times behave in a proper and courteous manner to Judges, Show Officials, and other competitors. If a person or persons behave in an improper manner or refuse to comply with directions then the committee or Steward in the Section shall have the right to exclude or disqualify any person from competing in that section. OBSCENE AND ABUSIVE LANGUAGE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Workplace Health and Safety, requires that, at all times, no unauthorised persons be allowed inside the ring boundary. No person shall either by himself or conjunction with any other person do or permit or suffer any act or thing to be done during the progress of any event or prior or subsequent thereto in connection therewith which the stewards or the controlling body in the proper exercise of their duties shall deem to be fraudulent, corrupt, foul, improper, that other persons may suffer or otherwise be penalised or perform any act threatening the life or safety of any person.. The use of Hormone, tranquillizer and/or analgesic substance is prohibited and will result in disqualification and non return of nomination money.An exhibit is ineligible if: Exhibitor is a member of the Judges Family, horse has been leased by or from the judge, his family, employer or business partner. Tuition and /or training has been given by the Judge or competitor, the competitor has been employed by the judge or vice versa in the three months prior to the Show. Competitors & persons in charge of exhibits must obey the Stewards at all times. All Stallions and Colts irrespective of age must be shown in suitable head gear, equipped with a bit, chain, and must be under control at all times. Stallions or Colts to be handled or ridden only by persons 17 years or over. Children under years entering in the Grand Parade must be accompanied by an adult. Galloways are 14 Hands and not exceeding 15 hands The age of all horses to be taken from the 1st day of August. Ponies in Hack classes must have a rider under 17 years. A Debut is a horse never before having won any ribbon A Maiden is a horse that has not won a First Prize in a similar event at an Agricultural Show. A Novice is one that has not won a Championship in a Novice or Open Class, or a first at a Royal Show Stallions not eligible unless stated. Current (2003) E.F.A., Hack Council, and Royal Show Height Certificates and Life Certificates accepted. JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL. Any PROTESTS must be lodged immediately after the event, in writing with the Secretary, with a PROTEST FEE of $100.00. The judge shall have the power to not award a first or any prize if entry or entries are not deemed worthy. All Stewards are to be on the grounds at 7.30 a.m. All competitors please note they must be ready to be judged at the time called. No delay will occur. This rule will be strictly adhered to at all times. All livestock must take part in the Grand Parade, otherwise, prize will be forfeited without respect to the person. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE RING AT ANY TIME RELEASE AND INDEMNITY FORMS AVAILABLE ON DAY AT OFFICE. 1. 2. Disclaimer I acknowledge that neither the Laidley Agricultural & Industrial Society, its representatives, judges and stewards accepts responsibility at law for: (a) (b) my safety health or security; or a person (e.g. a Dependant) consequently affected if I suffer injury or damage arising from attendance at or participation in an event at the Laidley Showground. 3 Assumption of Risk I voluntarily accept all risks of injury and damage that (a) I may suffer from attendance at or participation in an event at the Laidley Showground (b) I may suffer as a direct or indirect consequence of an Entrant of whom I am a parent or guardian from attendance at or participation in an event at the Laidley Showground 4. Release I release the Laidley Agricultural & Industrial Society, its representatives, judges and stewards from responsibility or liability to me for Injury and Damage that I may sustain, directly or indirectly; (a) when as a consequence of, or in connection with, I may suffer from attendance at or participation in an event at the Laidley Showground (b) as a consequence of an Entrant suffering injury or damage when or in consequence of, or in connection with my attendance at or participation in an event at the Laidley Showground Indemnity I undertake to indemnify the Laidley Agricultural & Industrial Society and each of its judges, representatives and stewards against all loss and expense incurred, directly or indirectly, as the result of a claim made by any person at all because of: (a) injury or damage suffered by me, or any person in my care, custody or control, or (b) psychological injury to any person, resulting from injury or damage suffered by me or any person in my care, custody or control, or (c) Damage to property in my possession where the injury or damage results directly or indirectly from attendance at or participation in an event at the Laidley Showground, including injury or damage resulting from the negligence of the Laidley Agriculture & Industrial Society, or its judges, representatives, or stewards. 5.
