MEETING MINUTES
Friday, January 21, 2011, 1:30 pm, Centennial Center, Conference Room A
The Academic Council met at 1:30 pm on Friday, January 21, 2011, in Conference Room A of
the Centennial Center. The meeting was called to order by Dr. Richard Beck, Vice President for
Academic Affairs.

IDEA FEEDBACK FOR DEPARTMENT CHAIRS AND ADMINISTRATORS

Since RSU is within the accreditation window, certain themes keep recurring: planning,
evaluation and assessment. IDEA Center offers validated instruments which provide
360° feedback for department or division heads/ directors/ deans. The evaluations will be
piloted between February 28 and March 11, 2011.

The proposal was approved with a correction to the course title of TECH 3013,
Leadership and Decision-Making Skills. Presented by Elwell
Motion to Approve by Hicks, Second by Gentry, Motion Adopted

CONTINUING REVIEW, Academic Policies and Procedures Manual
Section 3.8.6
Sections 3.8.6 through 3.8.7 were discussed and modified.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:10 p.m.
