Meet Conditions
This meet will be conducted under the rules of FINA, SNZ and local conditions.

Qualifying Period: 28th August 2014 to 18th August 2015
No Times are not accepted except for long distance.
Max of 10 events not including relays or 800/1500 Freestyle
Swimmers may only swim in qualified events
All swimmers: must be registered competitive swimmers of a Swimming NZ.
Heats swum mixed age and gender, and finals swum as separate male & female age groups.
Entry Time to be in SC 25m times
‘Proof of time’ entry report (by name) to accompany cl2 File (when emailing) and a hardcopy for all
postal entries
10. Max of 2 visitors per final
11. Events : will be swum as per programme however the Organising Committee reserve the right to
the following :
a. to restrict the number of entries for any event
b. to combine events where necessary
12. Relays open to all, trophies only awarded to HBPB Clubs. Relays will not be scored, and will not
receive medals and ribbons.
13. Finals
a. Heats and finals will be held for 50-200 events (200 Butterfly will only have an open final
and will be scored accordingly)
b. 400 events will be swam as a timed final and limited to the fastest 18 times male and
female. Scoring will be 12/u and 13/o for 400 events.
c. All finals will be swum as separate male & female age groups: 10&U, 11/12, 13/14, 15&O
14. Awards Medals for finals 1st, 2nd, & 3rd and Ribbons for 4th – 6th for all Finals and timed Finals except relays.
15. Age Group Trophies will be awarded to the male and female HBPB Swimmers who achieve the
highest total points in their age group from their best 9 events. Points awarded to HBPB swimmers
only. Swims that do not meet the qualification criteria will not be scored.
16. Heretaunga Cup – awarded to HBPB registered swimmer with highest FINA points swim at meet.
17. Team Trophies – HBPB Clubs only
18. Helen Twistleton Trophy – Top 13 & Under points
19. Hunter Aggregate Trophy – Top 14 & Over points
20. Hutchinson Memorial Trophy ‐ Top Club
21. Poolside Officials: Swimming HBPB shall endeavour to obtain the necessary number of officials. We
welcome any assistance from visiting officials.
22. Timekeepers: Clubs to provide one(1) timekeeper per four(4) swimmers per session please
23. Starts are over the top for heats, except for finals.
24. Electronic Timing : Will be used at these championships
25. No 800 times will be taken out of the 1500m event
