Orders queue up in NextGen. 1.Follow normal process If order cannot match visit, it will go in as a Future order in Powerchart. Jim will stop orders interface. Phleb. will not find an account. 1.Follow normal process 1. Draw the patient, hand-label specimens, process blood. 1. Phleb. should wait 10 min. and check to see if PowerChart is up yet. 1. Phleb. manually registers pt. in STAR as PAB/EMR and enters order into SunQuest. 1. Phleb. manually registers in STAR as PAB/EMR and orders in SunQuest. 2. If SunQuest still not up by time courier arrives, phleb should send specimens with the requisition to Munson Lab. 2. If not, manually register pt. in STAR as a PAB/EMR, then manually order labs in SunQuest. 2. If no phlebotomist is in office, the office staff will draw blood/handlabel it/process it. Phlebotomist duties in STAR and SunQuest will be transferred to MMC Lab CSR staff. Phlebotomist 1. Manually registers patient in STAR as PAB/EMR. 2. Manually orders labs in SunQuest. 1. PC is back up, PC might send through the NextGen orders and create duplicates to those that were placed manually. 1. Interface is back up it will send orders to PowerChart and requisition prints for phleb. 1. Interface is back up, Future order created in Powerchart can be captured with a custom Cerner lab report so that it can be canceled as a duplicate. 2. They will receive order, label specimens, take them to analyzers. When system is back up 1. If lab is a Future order, go into NextGen, click SUBMIT to send orders to PowerChart. 2. If lab is a Today order, do not put order back in. 1. STAR is back up, the account is created and the orders will display in SunQuest. Receive in SunQuest, label specimens and batch as normal. 3. Only use down labels for Stats or if SQ is down for 24 hrs. 1. SunQuest is back up, phleb or CSR (depending upon who has samples) will receive order, label specimens, batch as normal. 2. Med Tech’s should notice the duplicates on their pending logs. 3. Duplicate orders should be canceled in SunQuest, and the duplicate account they are on should be NSR’ed. Notify the Help Desk 56053 for any application downtime. 2. When notification of orders is back up, phleb. will call PDSS and ask to NSR account, will cancel order in SunQuest as a duplicate.
