All candidates must intend to serve the entire term of office, and be available for schedule events and meetings. Mandatory E-Board Meetings are held for one hour each week. It is also required that you attend SAB schedule events. You will also be required to hold office hours each week (these hours are scheduled at your discretion each semester). (i.e. job, internship, organization, involvement, etc.) Click here to enter text. For all SAB executive board members, it is a minimum 2-hour per week time commitment for office hours. All executive board members are expected to attend all regularly scheduled meetings and programs. The Vice President will serve 3 hours a week. The President will serve 5 hours a week. Unexcused absences for more than 3 meetings and/or programs will result in the loss of your position. You must also participate in the National Association for Campus Activities Mid-America Conference in late fall each year. All Coordinator level positions are responsible for a budget specific to their area. President The President shall establish and maintain operation of the organization, call and preside over meetings, and answer for all actions of the other officers/members. The President shall meet with the organization Advisor once a week at least and maintain one-on-one meetings with executive board members. The President will coordinate outreach and collaboration efforts with other organizations and departments. The President shall also have to present the annual financial budget to the Office for Student Engagement Director. The President will serve as the mediator for any disputes or issues arising that may have impact on the work of SAB. The President is also responsible for all email communication to and from SAB members regarding meetings, events, policies, etc. Vice President The Vice President shall assist the President with all administrative duties and assume those duties in the absence of the President. The Vice President shall serve as the official financial officer for SAB, acting as the primary authorized signer. The Vice President will be responsible for fiscal integrity and shall work with the programming coordinators to ensure funding accountability of all events. The Vice President will also serve as the Head of Marketing for SAB. They are responsible for updating and upkeep of the SAB website, social media pages, and SAB promo boards throughout the university. They are also responsible for purchase of all promotions materials. Entertainment Coordinator The Entertainment Coordinator is responsible for chairing the Entertainment Committee and planning all contracted, bigger, on-campus events. This could include magicians, comedians, bands, etc. The Entertainment Committee must co-sponsor with the Union or RSA for half of their events each semester. This person will work with the Vice President to promote and spread the word of all Entertainment events (posting flyers, dorm storms at the Union, hand billing, social media, etc.). The Entertainment Coordinator must meet with the President once a week in order to discuss upcoming events. Special Events Coordinator The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for chairing the Special Events Committee and planning all large-scale events held on campus in conjunction with other special events happening (i.e. Welcome Week, Homecoming, Winter Blast, Spring Blowout, etc.). This could include a homecoming kick-off concert, inflatables, headphone disco. This person will work with the Vice President to promote and spread the word of all Special Events events (posting flyers, dorm storms at the Union, hand billing, social media, etc.). The Special Events Coordinator must meet with the President once a week in order to discuss upcoming events. Wolverines @ Noon Coordinator The Wolverines @ Noon Coordinator is responsible for chairing the Wolverines @ Noon Committee and planning all on-campus events between the hours of 11 am and 2 pm. These events should be of smaller, ‘homegrown’ nature and examples could include fear factor, game shows, make your own license plates, lunch time musicians, etc. This person will work with the Vice President to promote and spread the word of all Wolverines @ Noon events (posting flyers, dorm storms at the Union, hand billing, social media, etc.). The Wolverines @ Noon Coordinator must meet with the President once a week in order to discuss upcoming events. Campus & Community Coordinator The Campus & Community Coordinator is responsible for chairing the Campus & Community Committee and planning all smaller-scale, on-campus events (outside of the Wolverines @ Noon Coordinator’s jurisdiction), campus spirit events, and all off-campus events. These events could include Halloweekends, video game tournaments, lip sync battle, tailgates, scavenger hunt, etc. The Campus and Community Committee must plan at least 2 travel events per semester. This person will work with the Vice President to promote and spread the word of all Campus & Community events (posting flyers, dorm storms at the Union, hand billing, social media, etc.). The Campus & Community Coordinator must meet with the President once a week in order to discuss upcoming events.
