III. September Friends of the Arts Meeting Date:
Date: Thursday, September 11, 2014
Room 84 (Art Room) from 6:00 to 7:00
Schedule for Meetings will be handed out on September 11, 2014.
IV: Music Trip: Colonial Williamsburg/Busch Gardens VA – Performance Adjudication
Pending School Committee Approval
Dates: April 23, 2015 (Thursday) – April 26, 2015 (Sunday) – End of April Vacation
Cost: No more that $550.00 per student
First Non-Refundable Payment of $100.00: Due no later than October 2, 2014
Payment Dates: Nov. $100.00, Dec. $100.00, Jan. $100.00, Feb. $150.00 or less
V: Treasurer Information Request: Due July 30, 2014 – email to the five teacher emails listed
in the communication section
 Student name and what they have in their individual accounts. In this way we can make
sure that the students know who does not have to pay the first $100.00 deposit and just
exactly how much they need to fundraise to go on the trip.
VI: Calendar Fundraiser: $640.00 raised
VII: AP Saturday Sessions: Requested to try and negotiate for the Saturday April 10th – 11th,
February 7th. (Based on last year’s dates)
VIII: Color Guard Update: Car wash being considered for July. Any incoming freshmen
(coed; dancers especially welcome) who are interested in joining can be considered as long as
they come to camp the last 2 weeks of Aug. This year's theme is the Broadway musical
"Wicked".
VIII: Restaurant Fundraiser Update
We are currently working on this to have it begin September. Details need to be ironed out.
All the monies raised will go to help defray the overall cost of the trip. In this way, students may
not have to make payments in January and February.

D’Angelo’s.
IX: Durfee Card Fundraiser (Mr. MacMullen)
Looking into having this as a kick-off fundraiser for September 11, 2014
X: Marching Band Schedule:
Band Camp:
August 18th - 20th (5pm-9pm)
August 21st & 22nd (11am-4pm)
August 25th - 27th (5pm-9pm)
August 28th & 29nd (11am-4pm)
XI: Walk-a-thon:
September 27th or September 20th (checking on AP Saturday Sessions)
X: Other fundraisers
Cookbook – Mrs. LeBoeuf will bring in information for Sept. meeting
Tag Day – Teachers will select dates for the Fall and will have them for the Sept. 11th meeting so
that a parent may take the lead and collect – Kennedy Park suggested to keep cost down
Products to be sold – Mrs. Almeida brought in brochures from a fundraising company – student
suggested soup
Program Book – Parents will bring information gathered as to how other organizations do this
Poetry Slam – Information will be brought to Sept. meeting as to what would need to be paid for
if an outside group comes in
 Any fundraisers that require a collection of money and the product is then delivered
according to the amount paid may be considered. We ask that we have parent volunteers
to collect the orders on selected dates in the foyer where a table will be set up.
In summer, the song sings itself.
