Fund Development Manager
Position
This is an exempt, professional position with a typical 30-hour workweek.
Job Purpose
This is a new position at LUX Center for the Arts. The Fund Development Manager creates and implements a
strategic approach to fundraising, which includes annual fund drives, major gifts, corporate donations,
memberships, and in-kind resources.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Plan fund development activities
 Collaborate with the Board of Directors and Executive Director to create a fund development plan
which increases revenues to support the strategic direction of the organization
 Implement the fund development plans
 Monitor and evaluate all fundraising activities to ensure that the fundraising goals are being achieved
 Monitor trends in the community or region and adapt fundraising strategies as necessary
Organize fund development activities
 Develop and manage timelines for various fundraising activities to ensure fund raising processes are
carried out in a timely manner
 Oversee the planning and execution of special fundraising events as specified in the fund development
plan
 Work with the Executive Director and independently to Identify and develop corporate, community
and individual prospects and build relationships
 Prepare fund raising appeal letters, thank you letters, and other correspondence to donors
 Manage and grow the membership program
 Manage the donor mailing list and database
 Coordinate in-kind donations and issue receipts
Manage fund development budget
 Prepare regular reports on progress, budgets, receipts and expenditure related to fundraising and the
management of the fund development activities
 Monitor expenses and analyze budget reports on fund development and recommend changes as
necessary
Collaborate with marketing personnel to
 Develop a comprehensive communication plan to promote the organization to its donors and
maximize public awareness of the fundraising activities of the organization
 Coordinate the design, printing and distribution of marketing and communication materials for
development efforts
 Build relationships with community stakeholders to advance the mission and fundraising goals of the
organization
Qualifications
 4-year degree required or significant experience in fund raising
 Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is an asset
 Knowledge of fundraising management
 Knowledge of special events planning and management

Experience
 3 to 5 years of proven track record in fund raising
 Knowledgeable about Lincoln
Compensation
$30,000 - $34,000 (30-hour, exempt position)
Simple IRA with company match up to 3%
Stipend paid for health insurance
