Code of Conduct
Agreement Regarding Avoidance of Harassment, Discrimination and Violence
I understand and agree that:
1.
The Mentoring Partnership (TMP) staff, volunteer mentors and mentee clients have the right to
be free from harassment, discrimination and violence in any and all activities relating to the
TMP. For the purposes of this agreement:
Harassment is a course of vexatious comment or conduct that is known, or ought
reasonably to be known to be unwelcome. Examples of harassment include sexual
teasing, inappropriate touching, bullying, offensive jokes or innuendos, offensive
gestures, etc.
Discrimination is a distinction or difference imposed on a person, because of his or
her race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual
orientation, age, record of offences, marital status, family status or disability.
2.
TMP will not tolerate any harassment, discrimination or violence by or against any staff
member, volunteer mentor or mentee client.
3.
If I engage in harassment, discrimination or violence, The Mentoring Partnership may, in its
sole discretion, immediately remove me from the TMP program.
4.
I have read and understood this Agreement Regarding Avoidance of Harassment,
Discrimination and Violence. I have discussed any questions or concerns about this
agreement with my mentoring coach or The Mentoring Partnership staff. I fully understand and
agree with the terms of this Agreement.
If you feel that anyone involved in TMP is behaving towards you in a way not consistent with this
policy, please bring your concern to the attention of your mentoring coach or the Mentoring
Partnership Staff at TRIEC.

Confidentiality of Business and Personal Information Agreement
Confidentiality of Business Information
The Mentor may, in his or her discretion, decide to share with the Mentee confidential business
information regarding the Mentor or the Mentor’s business or employer.
For the purposes of The Mentoring Partnership, confidential business information means business
information not generally known to third parties or which is the property of the Mentor or his or her
business or employer.
The Mentee understands and agrees that any unauthorized disclosure or use, whether intentional or
unintentional, of any such confidential business information would be detrimental to the Mentor and
his or her business or employer. As such, the Mentee agrees:
1. Not to use any confidential business information relating to the Mentor or his or her business or
employer for any purpose.
2. Not to disclose to any third party any confidential business information relating to the Menor or his
or her business or employer except as required by law.
3. To maintain all such confidential business information in strict confidence.
Confidentiality of Personal Information
The Mentor and Mentee agree to respect the confidential nature of private personal information
disclosed to each other during their participation in the mentoring partnership. The Mentor and
Mentee agree that all matters discussed or issues addressed in the mentorship relationship will be
kept confidential, unless otherwise agreed by both the Mentor and Mentee.
Conflict of Interest
The Mentor and Mentee agree to disclose to each other and to TMP any conflict of interest relating to
the mentoring relationship. TMP has the right, in its discretion, to terminate any mentoring relationship
in which there is a conflict of interest.
