Twice a year the City of Anacortes will hold our annual “Free Spring and Fall Cleanup” for residents inside the city limits. This is a great opportunity to get your household cleaning done and then haul away the garbage for free. We are accepting the disposal of residential garbage and yard waste at our Operations Facility.
Location: City of Anacortes Operations Facility, D Avenue & 37 th Street
Dates/hours: Saturday, September 12th, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 9th, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
We will be accepting the disposal of household garbage, furniture items, and yard waste. Sorry – no propane tanks, tires, large vehicle parts, hazardous waste, construction and demolition waste which includes large lumber, roofing or concrete can be accepted.
Loads are restricted to one “pick-up load” per customer and may be regulated at the discretion of city staff. Please load your vehicles so that you can unload yard waste first, and garbage second.
Verification of residence will be required. Please be ready to show 2 forms of ID, example: a driver ’s license and current copy of a utility bill.
