Note: To reinforce dividing words only at recommended points within words, changes are being made to numerous words on pages 75, 142, 197, and 262. Please use the new PDFs available at this site for these pages. “Diff” at the top of column 2 should be deleted from the student book. In columns 5, 7, and 9, all instances of “1” to “+” and all instances of “2“ should be “-.” In column 5, the heading 1/2% should actually read +/- % That change will affect almost every entry in columns 5, 7, and 9. situ-ation crite- ri- on datum Changes were made to words on lines 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 so that words appear with preferred divisions. Line 1: The word “council” should be counsel. At the end of the paragraph, the words should be reversed: “…and then change the comma to a colon.” “South” should be spelled out. “30” should be inserted after “March.” “…on or before March 30 if you…” The name “Swartz” should be Schwartz. “e-mail” should not be capitalized. The final example at the bottom of the page should be deleted. “Most” should be underlined, with an “S” over it. “Passengers” should not. “Arrive” is spelled incorrectly. “phon-ics” “parallel” should be spelled and marked par-al-lel.
