Changing lives through recycling: Plastics For Change Plastics For Change Cell: 647 885 5491 Andrew@plasticsforchange.org www.plasticsforchange.org Our Impact Increasing the value of discarded plastics. Providing a fair trade minimum rate. Building trust through transparency and accountability. Fighting climate change through recycling. Decreasing plastic pollution and poverty levels. Creating respectable employment. We are the fair trade of recycled plastic. Our model increases the value of plastic for those at the base of the recycling pyramid in developing countries. By increasing the value of discarded plastics, we help to reduce both plastic pollution and poverty levels. Our transparent, open book trading service connects base of the pyramid recyclers directly with buyers in a mutually beneficial trading system. We are revolutionizing fair trade market access to increase recycling rates through transparency and accountability. We partner with sustainable brands to recycle our ethically sourced plastic into eco-friendly product lines. We give consumers the option to create change through their purchasing decisions. There has never been a more critical time for change. Over 3 billion people lack access to waste management. As a result by 2025, there is expected to be 1 tonne of plastic for every 3 tonnes of fish in our oceans. We don’t need to create any more new plastic from oil; we simply need companies to source their plastic ethically and create fair trade markets. Our model is implemented in collaboration with local recycling coops, non-government organizations and industry partners. We are looking to connect with recycling leaders who share our passion for reducing poverty and plastic waste. To learn more about Plastics For Change please visit www.Plasticsforchange.org Yasbel’s reason for change. Yasbel is a single mother of 3 living in India. With limited opportunity for employment she provides for her family by collecting discarded plastics. She is not expected to live past age 45. Surviving on only a few dollars a day, she cannot break out of this circle of poverty. In India alone there are 1.5 million waste picker recyclers like Yasbel. But change is possible, we can break the cycle. Help us bring Plastics For Change to Yasbel’s community.
