Innovation Showcase Spring 2015 Event Information

Time: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Location: Sun Devil Fitness Complex
Mission of Innovation Showcase
Innovation Showcase enables creators to produce, refine and develop new inventions, new methodologies,
new creations and new ideas. Innovation Showcase provides an arena in which students can tackle real
problems, push the envelope, collaborate across lines, learn from failure, cultivate imagination and curiosity,
experience new possibilities, participate in an overarching entrepreneurial energy, and change perceptions.
Innovation Showcase fosters the process of invention, creation and revolution, creating generations of
intentional innovators as well as generations of cutting-edge innovations.
What Exactly Is Innovation Showcase?
Innovation Showcase is a massive exhibit of student-produced projects, demonstrating how ASU students
solve real-world problems with innovative and imaginative solutions. Collaborating with industry partners both
in the greater metropolitan area and the world over, students work on creating solutions to meet tangible
industry and societal needs.

INNOVATION SHOWCASE STUDENT DEADLINES
Project submission website opens.
Print & Imaging Lab (PIL) submission opens.
Monday, April 6th
Last possible day to submit project information through site
Friday, April 17th
Submit final poster design to Print and Imaging Lab.
Friday, May 1st
Pick-up printed poster from 8:00am-11:30am at SDFC.
Friday, May 1st
Innovation Showcase
Student check-in and set up project at SDFC 7:00am - 1:00pm.
Doors open to public at 3:00pm.
Showcase ends at 6:00pm.
All projects must be moved out of SDFC by 7:00pm.
Engineering Alumni Chapter mixer with faculty, industry and
students 4:00pm-7:00pm in Applied Arts Pavilion

Poster Submission Deadline and Pick-Up
Final Poster Submission Date – Friday, April 17th
Poster Pick-Up Date – Friday, May 1st 8:00am-11:30 am in the Sun Devil Fitness Complex
Poster Design Parameters






Poster must be 23 inches by 35 inches, horizontal or vertical.
Create poster with no bleed (no solid color going over the edge of the above parameters)
Resolution must be over 200 dpi at final size.
Use the official high resolution ASU logo (download available here)
To download Powerpoint Templates, please click here.
If working in InDesign, output your file to Adobe preset PDFx/1a. If working in PPT, ensure all images at
CMYK prior to inserting in PPT.
Name your poster file Lastname_Class (Example: Smith_AMT101)


Final poster submission MUST be in .PDF format. No other formats will be accepted.
Poster Submission Process



Go to http://print.asu.edu/file_upload to upload your .PDF poster file.
Make sure your file is named Lastname_Class (Example: Smith_AMT101)
Fill out your file submission form
o Subject: Innovation Showcase
o Message: Class Name and Professor (Example: EGR202 – Henderson)
Poster Pick Up

Posters will be available for pick-up from 8:00am-11:30am on Friday, May 1st at the Sun Devil Fitness
Complex during Innovation Showcase Project Set-Up
