The National Weather Service doesn’t believe east Texas will be impacted by the storm, but wants everyone to remain on alert in case the storm changes course and heads more west towards our area. Most people are worried about flooding in New Orleans and because Isaac falls on the 7th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. However, people are concerned in our area of burning outdoors because the storm’s wind gusts could spread fires.
