SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORM
This application form and guidelines is to be used for:
- Bath Spa University's Latin America Creative Industries Scholarship
If eligible, you can apply for more than one Bath Spa University scholarship with the relevant
application form but successful applicants will only be in receipt of one scholarship. Please note you
must have an offer of admission to a Bath Spa University to apply for this scholarships. Scholarship
applicants who do not hold an offer of admission, or incorrect applications will automatically be
rejected.
Application deadlines apply:
For September entry the deadline is 21st June 17.00 GMT.
This scholarship is not available for February intake.
The Latin America Creative Industries Scholarships are open only to students paying full international
tuition fees; nationals of Latin American countries only. The scholarship award is deducted from the
standard tuition fee as a part-fee waiver and the award holder will be invoiced for the net tuition fee
due.

Application Guidelines
Latin America Creative Industries Scholarship
Applicants to the Bath Spa University Latin America Creative Industries Scholarships are welcome
from applicants who are Latin American nationals and who have hold an offer of admission to a Bath
Spa University eligible programe.
There are four scholarships available of £2,000
Eligible programmes are:
Undergraduate - all undergraduate single honours programmes in the following 4 schools:
Bath School of Art and Design
School of Music and Performing Arts
School of Humanities and Cultural Industries
School of Education
Postgraduate - selected postgraduate courses:
Bath School of Art and Design
Master of Fine Arts (MFA)
School of Humanities and Cultural Industries
MSc Creative Technologies and Enterprise
MA Arts Management
MA Heritage Management
MA Feature Filmmaking
MA Scriptwriting
MA Creative Writing
MA Literature, Landscape and Environment
MA Travel and Nature Writing
MA Writing for Young People
School of Music and Performing Arts
MMus Composition
MMus Creative Sound and Media Technology
MMus Performance
MMus Songwriting
MA Performing Shakespeare
MA Theatre for Young Audiences
MA Dance
Criteria for the Latin America Creative Industries Scholarship: Applicants must be nationals from Latin
America who have applied for and hold an offer for any of the eligible programmes, have high
academic results and can demonstrate a commitment to creativity, culture and enterprise in Latin
America. Applicants must not have applied for any other Bath Spa scholarship and complete the Latin
America Creative Industries application form with supporting documentation.
How the applications for the Latin America Creative Industries Scholarships are judged:
Applications will be reviewed on submission of the relevant application form and documentation
The applications are reviewed in the month after the deadline by the University Committee.
How to apply: Applicants must apply for the programme of study and then the scholarship using the
Latin America Creative Industries Scholarship form
Terms and Conditions
1. Applicants’ fee status must be international. UK and EU students are not eligible to apply for
international scholarships.
2. Applicants must hold an offer of admission, conditional or unconditional, to an appropriate Bath
Spa University programme at the point of application. The programme must be:
A Master’s degree, be at least one year’s duration.

Full-time on-campus.

Lead to an award of Bath Spa University.
3. Applications received from those without an offer of admission will be automatically rejected.
Incomplete applications will also be rejected.
4. Scholarship applications must be received by Bath Spa University by the advertised deadline. No
late applications will be accepted.
5. Scholarships are awarded as a part-fee waiver. Award holders must be able to prove that they have
the financial ability to support the remaining tuition fees and living costs to be able to accept a
scholarship award.
6. Award holders must not be in receipt of a scholarship from any other organisation.
7. All scholarships offered are subject to satisfactory academic progress and award holders will be
expected to act as an ambassador for the University.
8. Award holders of the scholarship may hold only one Bath Spa University scholarship.
9. Scholarships are awarded by intake date. In the event of an award holder deferring their entry
point, any scholarship awarded cannot be deferred.
10. Scholarship decisions are final. Bath Spa University is unable to provide feedback on unsuccessful
scholarship applications.

Section B: Demonstrate your creativity
You must demonstrate in no more than three minutes what creativity, culture and enterprise means
to you and your country, and what you will bring to Bath Spa.
Your submission may be a monologue, song, animation, poem, photo with a spoken word, or
anything else you would like to contribute. It must be original and performed by yourself. Please
confirm the link to your chosen media.
