We are looking for enthusiastic and talented R&D Engineers to enforce its R&D unit in developing
innovative data mining and web text mining solutions.
Job Description
The required R&D Engineers will be participating in designing and developing high-performance data
mining software, big data processing and web text analytics systems to support all the solutions and
services provided by Vadis.
These responsibilities of these positions will involve:








Contributing into design, development and maintenance of Vadis Data Mining, Web Text
Mining and Information Management toolkits and platforms
State-of-the-Art updating from advanced technologies
Participating in customer solution integration activities.
Ensuring internal and external technical support.
Making documentation of the developed software toolkit.
Knowledge sharing and cross-training of team members.
Conducting data analytics projects
Possibility for project management or team management
The ideal candidates will have:
Preferred Education:
-
PhD or equivalent experiences and degrees in one of the disciplines:
o Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, Statistics, Data Mining or
Computational Linguistics
Preferred Experience:


3+ years software development experience in application development projects, using C++ and
object oriented design/programming skills, Java or any other modern programming languages
Deep knowledge about open source solutions
Required Skills:







Strong talents in both quantitative and qualitative assessments, analytical and conceptual
thinking
Good knowledge of algorithm analysis and design.
High level proficiency with OOP programming.
Experience with distributed systems programming and multi-threaded application development.
Experience with industry standard build/deployment tools.
Strong understanding and practical experience with software design patterns.
Ability to write clear and concise documentation.








Experience with Unit Testing, familiarity with testing methodologies, strategies and automated
tools.
Good understanding and practical experience with version control system.
Proved ability to work in a team setting.
Team player with positive and ownership attitude
Multi-lingual French / English or Dutch / English (English is the company’s internal
communication language)
Proved ability to prioritize and good time management skills.
Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
Fast adaptation to new technologies.
Preferred Skills:


Experience with developing data mining, machine learning algorithms is a plus.
Experience with developing scientific computation systems is a plus.
