About the Queen and Divine Mercy Grant:
The “Queen and Divine Mercy Endowment” was established by Rev. Elmer J. Burwinkel to promote
devotion to the Queenship of Mary and to the Divine Mercy of Jesus. Parishes and agencies of the
Archdiocese of Indianapolis are eligible to apply for a grant. The applications are reviewed by the
Queen and Divine Mercy Board. Grants have been awarded annually since 2012.

1. Have you applied for a Queen and Divine Mercy Grant previously? If yes, indicate year(s), if
grant approved, and amount of funds received if approved.

2. For what specific purpose are you seeking a Queen and Divine Mercy grant? Please describe
how the grant funds will be utilized.
Examples:
a. Purchase rosaries and booklets on the Divine Mercy for children to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet on Divine Mercy Sunday
b. Build an outdoor grotto with a statue of Mary to foster devotion to Mary Queen
c.
Provide a seminar/speaker to promote devotion to Mary, Queen and/or the Divine Mercy of Jesus
d. Develop a “Pilgrimage Shrine” of Mary that would travel from family to family as a home shrine in the parish.
3. What goals/outcomes do you hope to achieve through a Queen and Divine Mercy grant?
4. How much funding are you requesting? (Total funds distributed from the endowment will be
approximately $10,000.00 per year. We suggest that you indicate the total cost of your
project. Approved applications will receive a minimum of $250.00—however more may be
awarded to the approved applications as funds are available.).
