Mr. Tapan Kumar Gooptu Anchor Faculty Faculty Profile Anchor Faculty: 1) Mr Tapan Kumar Gooptu : Tapan Gooptu retired from ITC Ltd in 2010 as the Head of Employees Benefit Administration after putting in 19 years of service and completing a career span of 38 years in the commercial world. Prior to ITC Ltd, Mr Gooptu spent 12 (twelve) years with another FMCG Company, M/s Brooke bond India Ltd., now a part of the FMCG giant, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. While in ITC Ltd, Mr Gooptu administered the compensation of nearly 13,000 employees and managed the Retirement Fund Corpus of R.1000.0 crores. Mr Gooptu is well-known in the Social Security fraternity in the country and had been a regular speaker in National and International forums on the subject of Compensation Management Pension and other Social Security benefits. He was the Zonal Board Member of LICI at Kolkata. Presently, Mr Gooptu is the Chairman and Managing Director of M/s Gooptu Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd, a consultancy firm dealing with matters pertaining to Employee Benefit administration and various HR/ IR matters. 2) Mr Prem P Sahoo : Mr Prem P Sahoo recently retired as the Director- Personnel & Corporate Affairs of the Miniratna PSU, M/s. Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd. headquartered in Kolkata. Prior to joining M/s Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd., Mr Sahoo worked with the FMCG Company M/s Brooke Bond India Ltd at its modern Meat Factory in Aurangabad. Mr Sahoo was involved in handling all HR/ IR as well as Training & Development matters and was a very experienced Administrator of the well-known PSU Company. 3) Mr S K Pain : Mr Santanu Kr Pain retired as the General Manager of HR & IR of M/s Biecco Lawrie Ltd., a subsidiary of M/s. Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd, with whom he was employed for the major part of his career. He possesses the grass root experience of handling IR matters and is presently the Director of the Business Management Department of the University of Kolkata. ***********************
