2014 The Crate Engine Late Model Class is here to promote competitiveness while at the same time help
decrease the cost of competing. The factory built engines have proven themselves to be reliable and
competitive with minimal maintenance cost after the original purchase. The integrity of the program
depends on the competitors and track officials.
Crate engines have proven that if maintained and operated with in the factory specifications will stay
competitive for several years without having to have the factory seals broken.
1. Factory crate engines must remain stock. Stock means unaltered from the way it was built by the
manufacturer. Any alterations from stock are and will be deemed ILLEGAL.
2. In the instance of repair to any component of the stock assembly where the factory seals must be
removed Dawson County Raceway must be informed. Repair procedures will then be authorized and
supervised by Dawson County Raceway Officials. All parts and repairs must be authorized by Dawson
County Raceway Officials before the engine can be resealed and raced at Dawson County Raceway.
