COURSE DESCRIPTION AND OVERVIEW
Course Objectives:



For ALL students (also for students outside of the HRM specialization): Learn
about the role of corporations in the human capital development and the
development options offered by large and mid-size firms. Students are
engaged in the key topics of “why” companies invest in development of their
employees and what’s the HR best practice on “how” to do it. Students will
realize how they can accelerate their own personal careers in the corporate
environment by using variety of development options.
For HRM students: Learn how Learning & Development output fits bigger
picture of HR department and firm strategy. Know what is happening “behind
the scenes” of corporate people development.
For students interested in L&D: Learn about different activities performed by
L&D team, job specifics and situations with internal and external clients.

Course structure
10 classes, each class consists of 2 x 80 minutes
Class consists of Lecture and/or a Seminar
 Lecture – mainly driven my tutor, class is focused on understanding the
theories, models, focus on getting the knowledge and supporting evidence
 Seminar – students are actively involved in the given role-plays, business
simulations, exercises, or presentations – focus on gaining the skills and
attitudes
