OSC World to Introduce Digital Fly Real-Time
Social Media Alert Software For School Districts at School
Administrators of NY State Conference Oct. 18-19
ROCHESTER, NY – October 15, 2015 – OSC World, a pioneer and developer of
industry-leading educational test scanning technology and educational technology
services, will introduce for the first time, real time social media alert software “Digital

School Administrators of New York State (SAANYS) Conference in Rochester on
October 18-19, exhibiting on both days of the conference.
Developed for school districts, Digital Fly and its groundbreaking software alerts school
officials to potential threats to students, staff members and property. Using geolocation,
the proprietary “Fly Paper Engine” public social media posts for search terms, watch
phrases, hashtags, users and groups. All search terms are selected by school
administration personnel. The goal is to identify patterns and issues over time.
Information is secured only from open and public social media sites; no private or
personal data is ever searched.
Social media data is analyzed and ranked for potential threats and sent to district
officials when potential threats are identified. School officials and authorities then have
the ability to act to ensure student safety. Data can also be used forensically for up to a
3 month look back for investigations or review trends. This can be done at any time with
24/7 web-based access from any computer with an authorized user.
