Theme
Many adopters describe a rapid escalation of challenging
behaviour in their child as they approach adolescence. Julie
Selwyns research paper Beyond The Adoption Order identified the
most fragile time for adopters and their children is when they
approach adolescents. The response by adoption agencies and its
adoption support provision needs to be relective of this very
vulnerable time by providing informed and effective services.
Who should attend?
This one day course is for any Adoption Practitioners including Social
Workers, family support workers and Manager and will be delivered to
meet the requirement of HCPC Professionals Capabilities Framework
for Experienced Social Workers.
