Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UN/ISDR) the
European Union (EU) and the Disaster Preparedness and Prevention
Initiative in South East Europe (DPPI SEE) regarding regional
cooperation in firefighting and civil protection in South East Europe

11.30 – 13.00 h WORKING SESSION 2:
- National views on regional cooperation regarding firefighting and civil
protection in South East Europe (general assessment of existing formats
and results achieved) – discussion

- National views on SEEFREC establishment - possible rights and
obligations of the participants, jurisdiction and modalities of force
deployment, command and organization, availability of national forces,
number of permanent representatives in the institution, financing,
managing principles (managing and financial bodies), election
procedures, planning and reporting, mandate and procedures of activating
national capacities accredited to SEEFREC and other relevant issues,
including organizational structure, budget and personnel organigram –
discussion
