Violin Elective
For the third trimester, your child has the option
of hip hop dance or violin class. Our elective is
every Thursday and Friday. Interested students
would need to provide their own violin. Just let
me know if you would like to take part in this
wonderful opportunity! You may also contact
Sheri Eby at seby@rsarts.org with questions.
Field Trips
We have two trips coming up in April. On April 23
we are headed to the Timeless Broadway
Musical Peter Pan and on April 30 we are going
to a tribute to Frank Sinatra called Simply Sinatra.
Check it out at http://shastalive.com/. Please
indicate on the permission slips if you can drive
and if your child needs to pre-order a school
lunch. Both permission slips and $5.00 for Peter
Pan are due April 3. Always let me know if you
have a hardship and PTC will cover you.
Wagon Project
Bunny Brunch April 3
What is a Bunny Brunch, you may ask? Well, it’s
tasty, informative, and fun! It is an hour of
experimentation with raw vegetables, you
know, the kind that bunnies like to eat!
Each child will be asked to bring in a vegetable
with enough to serve 25. Please have the item
cleaned and cut into individual serving sizes.
On Bunny Brunch day the students will be given
a check off sheet with all of the different
vegetables listed on it. They are to select and
taste each vegetable and check off whether
they enjoyed it or not.
After all of the vegetables have been tasted we
will make a graph of our likes and dislikes. The
best part is that you will have a list of the
vegetables your child liked! Please go to
http://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084aaca
a2aa57-mrs to sign up to bring in a vegetable or
to volunteer. Thanks!
When we return from spring break your child
will be constructing a Prairie Schooner wagon.
Please send in a small shoebox full of craft
supplies for them to make their wagon. I will
provide the fabric and the wire to construct
the bonnet. Check out the drawing on this
web page as we will be using this as our
guideline.

supplies to the classroom by April 14.
