Beekeeper Assistant

Midlands Apiaries Limited is a Mid Canterbury based business operating 5500 plus hives in the
2014/2015 season on honey production and seed crop pollination. They are now on a major
expansion program.
For this Beekeeper position we are looking for someone willing to learn about beekeeping and
some experience could be an advantage.
The successful applicant would be a person that:







Has a high work ethic.
Enjoys working outdoors.
Is practical.
Is prepared to listen and learn.
Is able to do heavy lifting.
Has the ability to work flexible hours particularly in the Spring & Summer periods.
At least Class One Drivers License.
As well as the above, it would be an advantage if you:
 Had Carpentry skills for building and repairing hive boxes.
Applicants for this position must have New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work
permit.
