Dear Parents
Advent is a time of preparation and we are encouraging the children to ready
themselves for Christmas by doing something for others e.g. visit the church, say a
prayer for someone, feed the birds, visit an elderly neighbour, donate a toy to a
charity etc. The children will participate in an Advent Reconciliation service with
Fr Liam during December
As always this is a busy time of year both at home and at school please find time
to come and join us at some of our events. Please take note of times of the various
performances.
Christmas Dinner will be served by the Kitchen Staff on Wednesday 7th
December. If you are interested in your child eating Christmas Dinner please
complete and return the permission slip that was sent out last week The staff
needs to know in advance due to the catering involved. Cost of dinner is
£2.20.Children may wear Santa Hats
As is tradition in St Patrick’s the staff have requested that no presents be given to
them. If you so wish there will a Charity donation box at the front of the school in
which you may make a donation.
Best wishes to Muinteoir Micheal who has joined the Gaelscoil to cover Mrs
Murrays maternity leave.
Our appreciation goes to Gerard Rushe who has stood down from the Board of
Governors after many years of service. Our best wishes is passed on to Peter
McMahon who is now holds the vacant position.
