Notes for applicant organisations Who can apply - Applications for certification can be made by any organisation based in the borough of Islington. Membership of ISEP is not a requirement although organisations are encouraged to join to realise the full benefits of certification. How to apply – Applications are made by completing this application form and submitting it along with any relevant evidence to info@isep.org.uk. ISEP will spot check a percentage of applications and may request a meeting at your premises to validate the evidence provided. Applicants who meet the Gold Certification criteria will be asked to make a short presentation to the ISEP Steering Committee. Emissions Data - Baseline emissions figures should cover a full recent 12 months period. Emissions can be measured relative to weather, number of staff, floor area sales, etc. to reflect real progress on energy efficiency not just absolute emissions. Where actual energy data cannot be monitored (for example in a serviced office) an appropriate solution will be agreed upon on a case by case basis. Carbon monitoring - Organisations applying for ISEP certification will be asked to provide total annual energy data for the Partnership’s annual carbon monitoring exercise for the following 2 year period that the certification is valid. Application to the certification constitutes a commitment to doing this. Data submitted to ISEP will be analysed by the Partnership and included in the total carbon emissions calculations for the Partnership as a whole. Data about individual organisations will not be shared with other ISEP members or publically – unless permission is granted by the organisation (for example for an award or case study). What do I get? – All certified businesses will receive a certificate, a listing on the ISEP website and a logo for use on printed documents or online.
