Previous Employer: Voltas Limited (TATA) worked as a “Project Safety Officer, (HSE Project In
charge)” in their Regent Emirates Pearl Hotel Project & Central Market Redevelopment (CMR)
Project, Hamden Street, Abu Dhabi, UAE. (Since February 2010 to August 2013).
Worked as a “Safety Officer” with Voltas Limited, In their Ferrari Experience Project, Yes Island,
Abu Dhabi, UAE. (Since 17th April 2008 to January 2010.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist the Board in complying with current health and safety
legislation and/ or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are
taken to protect the safety and health of learners, staff and visitors.
 To implement Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental Policies (OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001) and as
per Local laws, Regulations and its strict instructions.
 Identify and procure in cooperation with the Project Managers, all necessary PPE for our personnel to
mitigate hazards related to their work and in line with the company policies.
 Ensure hazards related to our operations on sites and in the office are correctly identified and control
measures put in place for control them.
 Monitor safety procedures, determine cause of unsafe condition through procedure review, equipment
and facilities inspection, and worker observation with corrective action recommendations provided.
 To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
 To maintained waste management (reduction plan) at the projects and its implementation as per
government rules and regulation.
 To increase environmental aspect & Impact awareness to all employees and ensure waste segregation at
projects.
 To educate the work forces and Site Engineers, Supervisors both from Sub-Contractors and own work site
by conducting Safety trainings, Induction training to all new employees, daily Tool Box Talk, and various
periodical Safety Training Programmed to improve their consciousness and awareness towards safety.
 To carry out regular site and office safety audits & inspections for all related site projects and emergency
mock drill actions.
 To investigate and report on all accidents, incidents occurring to employees, staff and/or visitors,
verifying the correct reporting procedure for accident, dangerous occurrences, certificates of equipment
and operatives.
 Maintain close liaison with the Client’s and Contractor’s Safety Personnel.
 Attend safety meetings related to our operations with clients and contractors in addition to internal team
meetings.
 To maintain Work Permit Systems, Risk Assessments, work method statement, Job Safety Analysis.
 To inspect & checking regular basis of all restricted areas/plants (Offices, Warehouse, Confined spaces,
Cranes, Excavators, Vehicles, Power Tools, Erected Scaffolds, Lifting Tackles and Workshop etc.) and
ensure Permit to Work procedures are in place.
 To inspect and monitor all excavation activities and ensure all testing procedures has been carried out
and adequate HSE control measures are in place or adopted for excavation works.
 To inspect & maintain, calibration, vehicles, caravans, & equipment’s certification for operation at site /
plant areas.
 To display different safety promotional posters to educate & train the workforce to reach “ZERO”
accident target, make work environment safe & healthy and update it periodically.
 To keep records up to date relating to accident/incident and its investigation analysis reports for future
prevention.
 Responsible for providing advice on recycling, waste disposal and pollution prevention practices.
