MBS-billed Specialist Outpatient Clinics at Bendigo Hospital
The clinics below are MBS-billed services. Bendigo Health on behalf of the specialists’ will bulk bill the cost of
the consultation through Medicare. There is no out of pocket expense to patients. MBS-billed services require
a current referral to a nominated specialist as below. Please provide your patient with a 12 month referral.
Please note your patient may at times be seen by another specialist of the same discipline with equal
qualifications in order to expedite their treatment.
MBS-billing for some outpatient services is in line with the Department of Human Services recommendations,
and assists in addressing the costs associated with the growing demand for health services.
