“Order Out of Chaos”
The Second Law of Thermodynamics- the state of entropy of the entire universe, as a closed
isolated system, will always increase over time. The second law also states that the changes in
the entropy in the universe can never be negative.
Entropy- lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.
examples: electrons in atomic shells, human body, ever expanding universe, political
systems, a clean house..
We might agree with this “law” with just an outlook. Our lives, in a natural sense tend to go from
order to disorder, but….
What does God have to say about this second “law of the universe”?
Genesis 1: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without
form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering
over the face of the waters….
He created:
• Light (ORDER) 1:3
• Night and day (light from darkness) (ORDER) 1:5
• Firmament (boundary) between Heaven and Earth- we call this the sky’ (ORDER) 1:6
• Dividing line between land and water (ORDER) 1:10
• Stars in the sky and a moon to show us ‘signs and seasons, days and years’ 1:14
(ORDER)
• Out of dust (disorder) He created Adam by breathing His life into him (ORDER) 2:7
The theme of God’s design is order, flying in stark contrast to the scientific community’s idea of
a hugely chaotic and disorderly Big Bang- where everything is flying off at a million miles an
hour and somehow (odds of ‘life’ randomly occurring through an event such as the Big Bang are
ASTRONOMICALLY INSANELY IMPOSSIBLE- 1 in 10^57800) the ‘universe’ worked itself out
and we are here on this heavenly planet.
If our God can overcome the odds of 1 in 10^57800 chance of creating just a single cell- what power does He have to transform a human heart and a physical
life?
Is God debunking this supposed LAW of the Universe?

God’s original design for man was all about order. Sin creates disorder and reeks
havoc in our lives. This was not part of God’s plan for us, until we took that apple bite

Order out of chaos with His nation Israel
Ezekiel 37:1-14- The Dry Bones Live
• The Lord shows Ezekiel a valley of dry bones representing His nation and peo-
ple scattered throughout the nations, cut off, without life
• The Lord spoke life into these bones, literally sewing on flesh and muscle with
His voice, creating an exceedingly great army (37:4-10)
“11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They
indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12
Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I
will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into
the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your
graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in
you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I,
the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’”
• Later in the chapter, The Lord speaks explicitly what He is up to with this vision
He gave Ezekiel
- “21 Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they
have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;
The Lord has in part fulfilled this prophesy
- In 1948, the nation of Israel was created, bringing back millions of Jewish people from
all across Europe and the world.
What is Jesus waiting on to fulfill with His nation and people Israel?
- Matthew 23:39 “39 …for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed
is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’

The nation of Israel needs to welcome back their Savior in one unified, ORDERLY
voice in order to see the Lord’s return. This is the last step in our Redeemer’s design for the fulfillment of the salvation of His own people.
*The ULTIMATE order will come in Glory, when the one new (unifified) bride (the
church) joins the wedding feast table with our Bridegroom, King Jesus, at the
head, reigning forevermore.
