Resolution 15-01:
A Resolution to Integrate Knowta, or a Similar Program, into the Wright State University
Printing Environment to Eliminate the Costs of Printing to Students
1. WHEREAS, The current costs of student printing at Wright State University are
presenting an unnecessary additional cost to students; and
2. WHEREAS, These costs can be significantly reduced or eliminated through the
integration of advertisements into the printing process; and
3. WHEREAS, Knowta, or a similar company, can provide this integration of
advertisements, which will result in additional revenue; and
4. WHEREAS, This revenue would be divided between Wright State University and Knowta,
or similar company; and
5. WHEREAS, The portion of the revenue received by Wright State University would be
used to offset the costs of student printing by reducing the costs significantly or eliminating
6. the costs completely; and
7. WHEREAS, The integration of this system would operate seamlessly with the current
system; now, therefore, be it
8. RESOLVED, That the Student Government here assembled at Wright State University
make the following recommendation for solution that Wright State University integrate
advertisements into the printing environment through Knowta, or a similar company, at a
time when the printing environment at Wright State University has stabilized and is capable
of such integration.
