Prerequisites for Instructor Course: Pre-registration is Required!!!!!!!
1. Affiliate with an AHA Community Training Center. (To affiliate with Randolph
Community College log on to the AHA Instructor Network at
https://ahainstructornetwork.americanheart.org Register and affiliate with us as
a ACLS Instructor)
2. Complete an Instructor Candidate Application (this needs to be filled out and
signed by the instructor candidate and by someone who can verify the instructor
candidate’s instructor potential (email kjeffries@randolph.edu and/or
ahactc@randolph.edu and request this form) Bring signed application to
class.) (Anyone taking the course that will not be aligning with RCC’s TC will
need to have the affiliating TC fill out the TC Alignment section.)
3. Hold a current AHA ACLS provider certification (bring a copy of card to class)
4. Take the AHA ACLS Instructor Essentials Course online. (The AHA ACLS
Instructor Essentials online course can be ordered through OnlineAHA.org or
through AHA’s Distributors: WorldPoint, Channing Bete Company or Laerdal
Medical Corporation. The cost is $30.00. Bring a copy of the completion
certificate to class.)
5. Bring an Advance Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor Manual to class (This
can be purchased through the above AHA Distributors)
6. There is a $50 affiliation fee if you are aligning with RCC Training Center.
Tuition Fee- $70.00 (unless fee exempt)
