Learning Target: I can identify the physical geography of the Regions within the United States.
Independent work (Bellringer): Students will pick up their work from Friday and immediately begin to
finish the assignment.
Interactive instruction and authentic engagement: Students will complete an individual project in which
they will draw one of the regions of the United States, identifying the region’s major cities and the
history and economy.

cultural, and economic identity of the American Northeast.
Independent work (Bellringer): Define megalopolis, textiles, and metropolitan area

American Northeast (geography, history, economy, culture). Students will use the textbook and an atlas
to observe various topical maps to analyze this region.
