Cade Standard Meeting Times: Wednesdays 2pm Special Meetings/Presentations: Brief Description of Experiment (as relevant to Operations): During the g14 run period, Hall B will be conducting a photo-production experiment mainly on the polarized HD-Ice target. Test and alignment running will take place in the first week of the experiment. A Bremsstrahlung photon beam will be produced on a 10-4 r.l. radiator. The primary beam will be deflected to the Hall B tagger beam dump. (Taken from the g14 RSAD) Applicable Reading Material: g14 COO, g14 RSAD, g14 ESAD Beam Requirements: Standard Energy (pass) 2 Pass(1089 MeV) 3 Pass (3256 MeV) 4 Pass (4450.1 MeV) 5 Pass (5503.7 MeV) To be determined 60nA (circular) 20nA(linear) Circular and Linear <5% 2C21A and 2C24 < +/-100 μm 5x10-4 (instability of Ebeam<10-4) 5x10-4 <100 μrad σx, σy < 150 μm σx, σy < 150 μm Nonstandard Energy (specify) Current(s) @ Given Energy Polarization Beam Current Stability Beam Position Instabilities Beam Energy Accuracy Beam Charge Asymmetry (circular) Beam Divergence at 2C24A (circular) Spot Size @ Tagger Harp (circular) Parallel beam: spot size at 2C21A and 2C24A (linear) Difference in Spot Size at 2C21A and < 50 μm 2C24A (linear) Beam Halo At Tagger Harp (linear) ~10-4 Bleed Thru From Other Halls <10-3 Note: Hall B will be running electron beam tests. The current will range from 0.5nA to about 10nA; and the tagger magnet will be de-energized during these tests. The destination for the electron beam will be the dump behind the Faraday cup. The raster magnet will be used during the electron beam tests. The beam spot size, the beam halo, and bleed-thru parameters are the same as the ones listed above. The beam position instabilities at 2C21A and 2C24A: <+/150 μm. Special Concerns: The beam spot position on the tagger dump should not be adjusted by changing the tagger magnet current. The machine fast shutdown is interlocked with the tagger magnet. Special MPS or PSS Issues: none :
