Conferences and Events held during our 50th Anniversary Year
Dear Colleagues,
In developing the plan for the University’s 50th anniversary, the working group and operational group
(which I chair) are keen to ensure that academic conferences, public lectures, symposia and similar
events play a prominent role in the celebrations.
Each year colleagues organise and participate in a wide range of these activities. It is intended that
the 50th anniversary be used as an opportunity to amplify their impact and range.
All colleagues and especially those in Academic Departments, Institutes, Research Centres and
Groups who would like to organise a conference or similar are encouraged to bring the idea forward
and to use this form as an opportunity to secure support which could enhance an existing event plan
which has been agreed with the relevant Dean.
