undergraduate and graduate degree at NRRU. The scheme
aims to help academically outstanding international students by
funding their studies at NRRU. Below is full information.
The NRRU International Undergraduate Scholarship (NRRUIUS)
One scholarship is provided for an undergraduate student
who meets the following criteria.
Eligibility:
1. Hold one of these nationalities: Bruneian, Burmese,
Indonesian, Filipino, Malaysian, Laotian, Singaporean,
Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian,
New Zealander and Indian
2. Completed high school or equivalent with a minimum
GPA of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale or 70% on other scaling
system
3. Obtain related educational background for the intended
courses
4. Meet the university admission requirements
5. Be able to study all courses in Thai
How to apply
Interested persons can download application form at
www.nrru.ac.th/iao and submit the completed form with
required documents to NRRU by 30 June 2014. No application
fee is required. The required documents are as follows:
1. Two photographs (2-inch)
2. A copy of transcript/academic record and graduate
certificate
3. Two letters of references, preferably from teachers
4. Evidences of any achievements including school and
community participation
5. One-page essay written in Thai language on the topic
“My perspective on Thailand and Thai language”
** Please note that the application form and required
documents must be in English. Documents must be submitted
via email, internrru@hotmail.com, and posted to
International Affairs Office

Selection Criteria:
NRRU-IUS committee will draw up a short list of
candidates on the basis of outstanding academic record and
Thai language competency. The short-listed candidates will be
interviewed and considered on basis of intention, attitude,
extra-curricular
activities,
international
perception
and
adaptability to a new country. The scholarship will begin in 1st
semester of academic year 2014 (August 2014).
Please note that the scholarship may be suspended or
terminated if the scholars have not made satisfactory progress
in the first semester. Failure in two or more courses in a
semester will automatically result in the termination of the
scholarship.
During the scholarship period, any employment of the
scholars must be approved by the Director of International
Affairs Office.
The scholars under NRRU-IUS can apply for other
scholarship programs, if the other scholarships allow them to
do so.
Benefits and Conditions:
1. Exemption of tuition fees for 8 semesters or 4 academic
years (10 semester or 5 academic years for Bachelor of
Architecture Program in Architecture only)
2. Monthly allowance of 3,600 Baht
3. Health insurance

The NRRU International Graduate Scholarship (NRRU-IGS)
Two scholarships are provided for international graduate
students who meet the following criteria.
Eligibility:
1. Hold one of these nationalities: Bruneian, Burmese,
Indonesian, Filipino, Malaysian, Laotian, Singaporean,
Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian,
New Zealander and Indian
2. Completed bachelor degree or equivalent with a
minimum GPA of 3.00 on 4.00 scale
3. Be able to communicate in English efficiently (TOEFL
(PBT) score of 450/iBT 45 or IELTS score of 4.0 or
above)
4. Obtain related educational background for the intended
courses
5. Meet the university admission requirements
6. Relevant work experience will be considered in the
selection process.
