The Plant Pathology Herbarium (NR) of the Institute of Forest Ecology of the Slovak
Academy of Sciences, a collection of preserved fungi and other organisms that cause plant diseases, currently contains approximately 5,300 specimens. Although the plant pathogenic fungi of Slovakia are emphasized, the collection contains materials from throughout the world.
Material deposited in the collection serves as a source of voucher material of plant pathogens for scientific research. The collection is registered with the international code NR in the Index Herbariorum , a global directory of herbaria. It serves both domestic and foreign experts. The plant pathology herbarium provides a repository for dried specimens and loan service.
