GOING TO THE RESTAURANT
Today, instead of going to the vegetarian restaurant, Tim and his Indian friend Latika are not going
to the vegetarian restaurant because they have decided to try something new.
SERVER: Good evening. May I help you?
TIM: Good evening. May I see the menu?
SERVER: Sure, here it is…
While they check up the menu…
LATIKA: We should have had Indian food for lunch. I wish we were there today.
TIM: Come on Latika! I wish you were more open to try new things. Give it a try. I bet you’ll love it
plus, they’ve got vegetarian food and you might enjoy it.
LATIKA: I guess you’re right. anyways, you always please me going to my restaurant so I let you
choose today.
TIM: Terrific. I’ve never been to this restaurant but I wanted to come because it was
recommended by the chef’s magazine. Apparently, this is one of the best restaurants in the
country. It was built a year ago, and the magazine said the food was better, cheaper and more
fascinating than the food at the place where we always go.
LATIKA: Ok but, if I don’t like it you will pay for it.
TIM: All right but, if you like it, you will pay for yours and mine ok?
LATIKA: Deal. You know that if I had a million pounds, I would pay for our lunch everyday, right?
TIM: jajaja so would I. Ok, are you ready to order?
LATIKA: I’m not quite sure. Would you mind calling the server so I can ask him about a dish?

SERVER: How could I help you?
LATIKA: would you mind explaining to me what are the differences between these two dishes?
SERVER: Not at all. The first one is spicier than the second one but; the second one is made with
milk and nuts. Both of them are made with the finest ingredients by the best cook. Personally, I
think the first one is more delicious.
LATIKA: Ok I’ll have that one. Do you have any desserts?
SERVER: Yes ma’am I’ll bring you the desserts menu right after your meal. And for you sir?
TIM: Well the chef’s magazine said that the fish was the best entry but my sister told me that ribs
were the best plate so, I’ll have both of them
