In this course, preliminary data mining concepts and techniques are introduced.
Topics covered are: Data mining algorithms and methods including association
analysis, classification, cluster analysis, as well as emerging applications and
trends in data mining (such as Web data mining, biomedical data mining and
security).

CLO7. Work in groups to research a related topic to data mining.
CLO8. Present the work in seminar sessions.
CLO9. Use specific software tools for data pre-processing, general purpose data
mining, classification, association analysis, cluster analysis.
