3 About Netmagic Datacenters
Netmagic's facilities are engineered to offer a superior infrastructure for continuous internet operations.
Netmagic has invested heavily in its facilities and network infrastructure to ensure continuous availability,
reliability and scalability. The key features of all our datacenters are as follows –
1. Each internet datacenter is designed to eliminate any single point of failure
2. Combined high speed Internet backbones with robust peering agreements to ensure effective
distribution of data, reducing the time it takes for your end customer to reach the servers
In order to offer its customers a comprehensive offering, Netmagic has forged strong partnerships with
various vendors – Hewlett Packard, Merlin Gerin, Socomec, Schneider, Compaq, Sun Microsystems, Dell
Computers, Cisco, Juniper, Legato, SAP, Foundry Networks, Microsoft and Oracle.
A. Minimum N+1 Engineering
Netmagic uses the minimum, "n+1" redundancy-engineering for all its designs. The total capacity
requirement of any specific element of infrastructure (bandwidth, power, air conditioning, etc) is calculated
based on the design assumptions. This capacity requirement is then spread across "n+1" (or "n +
multiple") infrastructure components (Telecom lines / Routers / Power infrastructure / Air handlers, etc),
with "n" components being sufficient to carry the full capacity requirement. This design thus ensures that
even if one of the components were to fail, the remaining "n" components would automatically take up the
load with absolutely no reduction in the level of performance of the Data center.
The facilities section gives you an overview of the following –
1. Power distribution systems
2. Heat, ventilation and air conditioning
3. Fire protection
4. Physical Security
5. Rodent control systems
B. Internet Data Center Highlights
1. Seven state-of-the-art datacenters located at Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi (NCR) and Bangalore

norms)
3. All Netmagic hosting and co-location services are backed by industry leading SLA's of
99.99%

redundancy in its power provisioning. Redundancies include twin primary feeders, a high-load bank of
diesel generators, best-of-breed UPS Systems and Battery banks, and power distribution units (PDUs),
ensuring uninterrupted power supply through dual bus architect maintain till Rack level even in the
unlikely event of a sustained power failure.
Netmagic’s Redundant Power Management System provides the data center with clean, conditioned
power. The Power Management System consists of N + N world-class UPS modules with automatic static
bypass / manually operated full-maintenance bypass circuits at each Rack level. This configuration
provides redundancy in electrical distribution up to the Rack level, ensuring uninterrupted power supply
even in the event of an electrical component failure.
B. Redundant Precision Air-conditioning
To ensure optimal cooling of the equipment housed within the
datacenter,
Netmagic
has
deployed redundant
precision
air-
conditioning systems that closely monitor and regulate the ambient
temperature and relative humidity of the datacenter.
The HVAC units are powered by both normal and emergency
electrical systems. These units are monitored through the building
automation system; the failure of any unit triggers an alarm.
1. Temperature maintained at 21  1 C
2. Humidity level maintained at 55 5% humidity, noncondensing
3. High efficiency micro vee filters to take care of dust levels,
with an efficiency of 95%. These can filter out particles of
sizes up to 5-microns
C. Security and Surveillance
