Dr. Adam Stern, DVM
Dr. Stern earned a BS in biology from George Washington
University in 2003. He earned his DVM from Atlantic
Veterinary College in 2007, and he finished a veterinary anatomic pathology residency at Oklahoma State University in 2010. He is a diplomat of the American College of
Veterinary Pathologists and a certified medical investigator and forensic consultant thru the American College of
Forensic Examiners.
Dr. Stern's research and interests are focused on advancing the field of forensic veterinary pathology. Currently, he is looking at cooling curves of animal carcasses in order to determine post mortem intervals (amount of time that has elapsed since death). Dr. Stern is also looking at the histologic changes within the skin during the early post-mortem interval (1-7 days).
Dr. Anne Barger
Dr. Barger received her DVM from the University of
Illinois and completed a residency in clinical pathology at
North Carolina State University. She is a diplomat of the
American College of Veterinary Pathologists and serves on their exam committee. She is also on the membership committee of the American College of
Clinical Pathology. Her professional interested include
Immunocytochemical staining of neoplasia and flow cytometry.
Dr. Kuldeep Singh
Dr. Singh received his B.V.Sc & A.H (DVM) degree from
G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, India, in
1999. In the third year of his veterinary studies, Dr. Singh decided to pursue a carrier in pathology following graduation. He successfully completed a national level
Indian Council of Agriculture Research entrance examination to obtain a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and joined the Indian Veterinary Research Institute to study pathology in 1999. However, in 2000, Dr. Singh left that program to pursue a master's degree in pathology at Utrecht
University in The Netherlands. There he worked on canine senior senile dementia of Alzheimer type. In 2002 Dr. Singh moved to Oklahoma State
University to fulfill a residency in anatomic pathology. Dr. Singh completed a
PhD in pathology in 2008 in a laboratory focused on bovine respiratory disease complex under the guidance of Dr. Anthony Confer. His doctoral research focused on elucidating the role of an exotoxin leukotoxin (LKT) in the pathogenesis of shipping fever by challenging calves with LKT deletion mutant and the wild type Mannheimia haemolytica. Dr. Singh completed his board certification in anatomic pathology (ACVP) in 2009.
Dr. Patrick Roady
Dr. Patrick Roady has recently joined the Veterinary
Diagnostic Laboratory as a visiting clinical instructor serving as a Pathologist. Patrick completed his DVM in
2003 from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary
Medicine. He then worked in private practice for 6 years predominately practicing food animal medicine. Dr. Roady returned to the University of Illinois for a residency in anatomic pathology in 2009. In September of 2012, he completed his residency training and passed the ACVP board examination. Patrick, his wife Amy, and sons Brandon and Jacob, reside in Mahomet, IL.
