Dear Colleagues, A few updates concerning MSCA: Comments on Annotated Grant Agreement (AGA) for the Marie SkłodowskaCurie actions: At the end of the last year, the Annotated Grant Agreement (AGA) for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions was published under the link below (p.378 – p.477): http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/data/ref/h2020/grants_manual/a mga/h2020-amga_en.pdf The AGA is a user guide that aims to explain to applicants and beneficiaries the General Model Grant Agreement (‘General MGA’) and the different specific Model Grant Agreements (‘Specific MGAs’) for the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for 2014-2020. Its purpose is to help users understand and interpret the Grant Agreements, by avoiding technical vocabulary, legal references and jargon, and seeking to help readers find answers to any practical questions they may have about particular parts of the GAs. The European Commission would like to work together with the NCPs to further improve the document. They are interested in: o Key points that you would like to see (further) addressed in the AGA; o Questions that you receive by stakeholders/beneficiaries and which you believe should be explained further in the AGA, The EC will then prepare draft inserts which explain the relevant points in the AGA and elaborate it with the NCPs. In this regard, we invite you to provide us with questions and points which you would like to see further addressed by Sunday 08.03.2015 Ukraine (UA) organisation will be considered as associated country for the RISE2015 call: o The signature of the Horizon 2020 Association Agreement with Ukraine is expected for March 2015, but the Agreement will only enter into force once Ukraine has ratified it and notified the Commission. The Agreement does not provide for provisional/retroactive application. o Under the terms of the Agreement Ukrainian legal entities will participate in all actions funded under 2015 Horizon budget (calls for proposals, calls for tenders, contests, JRC activities etc.) with the status of entities from an Associated Country as of the entry into force of the Association Agreement. o Ukrainian entities are encouraged to apply under 2015 calls, however, grant agreements with the Ukrainian entities having the status of entities from a country associated to Horizon 2020 will only be signed when the proper legal framework is in place (i.e. when the Association Agreement enters into force). o Given that the EU does not recognise the illegal annexation of Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, under the terms of the Horizon 2020 Association Agreement with Ukraine, legal persons established in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea or the city of Sevastopol are not eligible to participate. Should the illegal annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol end, the Agreement will be revised accordingly. Please make sure all applicants submitting RISE in collaboration with organizations from Ukraine are aware of this new rule.
