Join a partnership excursion with Wineries Express tours for an inside look at Gilbert Cellar’s Hackett
Ranch vineyard and production facility west of Yakima. You will see grape picking, de-stemming and

Hiking – Cooper River Trail to Cooper Lake
This peaceful, relatively flat hike follows Cooper River to Cooper Lake. 3.5 miles one way, Hikers will be
guided along a beautiful trail that will take them through old growth forest with bursts of wildflowers.
Along the way, there is plenty of opportunity to view the river and enjoy and learn about the many
species of birds and wildlife that thrive in this area. The trail ends at the crystal clear mountain lake, and
hikers will be shuttled back to CWU. This is a great hike for beginners or families with children.

Youth Mental Health First Aid
A groundbreaking public education program that helps the public identify, understand, and respond to
signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This course is an 8 hour course which uses role
playing and simulations to demonstrate how to assess a mental health crisis; select interventions and
provide initial help; and connect persons to professional, peer, social, and self-help care. This program
also teaches about the risk factors and warning signs of specific illnesses like anxiety, depression,
schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and addictions.
