A Celebration of Craft hosted by Viscount Linley The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) is delighted to announce our inaugural a fundraising dinner to raise funds to help QEST in their aim of sustaining British heritage through excellence in craftsmanship. The Cause QEST funds the education of talented craftspeople through traditional college courses, apprenticeships or oneto-one training with master craftsmen. The charity was established by the Royal Warrant Holders Association in 1990, in celebration of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mothers 90th birthday in order to maintain traditional craft skills that are so vital to Britain’s heritage. With Her Majesty’s Patronage officially commencing in 2016, and both Viscount Linley and Lord Salisbury joining QEST as Vice Patrons, we will be kicking off what is set to be a very exciting year for QEST with a fundraising dinner hosted by Viscount Linley on February 25 th 2016. The Event The V&A Museum, the world’s leading museum for art, design and craftsmanship, has been chosen for the venue and 400 guests will be attending this celebration of British craft. Cocktails will commence the evening in the setting of The Dome and dinner will be held in The Raphael Gallery. A range of our scholars from stonemasons to saddlers, stained glass makers to armourers, cordwainers to luthiers and a host of other extraordinary craftspeople will be demonstrating their skills throughout the evening.
