Bishop Grosseteste University Vacancy No: 1415-75 Job Title: Sandford Cascade Learning Officer Department: Innovation Grade: 5 Job Purpose: To facilitate the appropriate, efficient and effective use of learning tools by partners in the Sandford Learning Cascade Project. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Specific tasks: In consultation with the Sandford Learning Cascade Co-ordinator and the Head of E learning at BGU, designs and prepares learning tools and strategies as appropriate for Sandford Learning Cascade sites. Oversees and co-ordinates the induction of Sandford site staff in the use of their learning tools including, when appropriate, E learning tools, after undertaking appropriate in house training. Offers a first class customer focused service throughout the project, dealing with learning challenges in person, by telephone and by email. Line manages Sandford Learning Cascade students; overseeing their activities, supporting their professional development and deploying them within the limits of their roles in such a way as to optimize the learning service provision. Manages e-learning activities such as seminars and conferences. This will include producing risk assessments, evaluation reports and managing all aspects of budget reporting to external sources. Acts as the main point of contact for site staff for all e-learning issues. Assists the Sandford Learning Cascade Co-ordinator in the development and implementation of communications and activities at all stages of the project. Assists the Sandford Learning Cascade Co-ordinator in the reporting of project outcomes to Heritage Lottery Funding and BGU. Advises on significant procurement to ensure efficiency and costs-effectiveness.
