Bobcats vs NY Knicks Can invite a friend or family member! Ask your advisor. We have scheduled our fall Career in Sports Day for Wednesday, December 5th. Our game that night will be an exciting one as the Charlotte Bobcats are hosting NBA all-stars Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire, and the New York Knicks! For those who may not be familiar with Career in Sports Day, it is an annual event that allows students to get a “Behind the Scenes” look at what executives in the sports industry do from day to day, how they began their careers, and advice on beginning a professional career in the field of competitive sports. This is a wonderful opportunity for students interested in marketing, sales, arena management, sports and entertainment, athletic training, broadcasting, and more, as well as for DECA, FBLA, HOSA and FCCLA clubs. We begin the day with a speaker panel of Bobcats executives (and possibly some from outside the organization this year), a great Question & Answer period, and then a chance for the students to watch the two teams warming up for that night’s game from their seats. We will depart at approximately 1:45 pm from the ATC front door and return to CHS at approximately 10 pm. * Students are asked to provide $45.00 which covers the workshop, meal, souvenir and transportation expenses.
