The MCH Specialist will work on a 211info team to help women, children and families to facilitate connections with health and social service programs. The MCH Specialist will answer phone calls and texts, respond to online inquiries and provide information and education about preconception, pregnancy and perinatal concerns; women, children and family health; and infant, child and adolescent development, behavior and learning. The MCH Specialist will make referrals and connections to services and follow up with clients to ensure that their needs were met. Key duties and responsibilities: Answer phone calls, texts and/or respond to electronic forms of communication related to preconception, pregnancy and perinatal concerns; women, children and family health; and infant, child and adolescent development, behavior and learning, Listen, assess and respond to the needs of diverse customers from all ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. Refer customers to maternal and child health and social services such as Oregon MothersCare, home visiting, WIC and other nutritional resources, parenting classes and supports for basic needs and other resources. Train 211info staff about specific MCH topics. Work with and support the Maternal & Child Health Liaison in partnering with Oregon’s MCH, WIC and Adolescent, Genetic & Reproductive Health Sections and others.
