Students: Once every quarter you have the opportunity to submit work that you completed in class for an award of $250 (chosen by the President) or $200 (chosen by the Dean) scholarship credited to your student account.
We are currently accepting entries for Fall Quarter 2014!
Last Quarter we had 16 entries from only 8 students

Previous winners are allowed to resubmit only after a waiting period of 3 quarters.
For example, if you received a Choice Award in Winter 2013, you would not be eligible to submit again until Fall 2014. Students graduating this quarter are not eligible for this award.
The winners will have their image framed and hung in the office of the president or dean for a quarter after, which, it will be in Ai MN’s permanent collection. All majors may enter. Work that is already 2-D is the easiest, but photographs of culinary dishes, menu designs, screen shots of web pages, stills from videos, or any other 2-D still high quality documentation of your medium is eligible and encouraged.
Here's what you need to do:
To be considered, please submit the following by 4 pm, Friday of Week 9, December
5 th . Up to three images may be submitted.
Submissions are accepted via email ONLY. No web page entries! E-mail to: aimartgallery@aii.edu
You will submit 1-3 jpg or pdf files representing the works. If more than three works are submitted only the first three will be considered.
Entries must include a Word document (with the information listed at the end of this file) completed with information concerning each work. This document needs to be filled out and returned with your entries. Copy paste the information at the end of this document into a new document to send with your entries. DO NOT save as a pdf as information needs to be copy pasted from this document.
Each work submitted MUST have been made while the student has been enrolled at
AI Minnesota, be made as part of an assignment, and may not have been previously entered in the Choice Awards competition.

Please consult your faculty for help and advice on your images and submitting. The
Gallery Committee cannot provide such help.
JPG submission guidelines:
No longer than 1000 pixels on the longest side. 150 ppi.
If selected you will need to provide the piece or a high quality printable file. Digital files need to be 240 ppi at 8x10 inches at the smallest, larger files are better! Images from camera phones are not acceptable. If your piece does not meet these requirements the award may be awarded to someone else.
Email your submissions and Word document (attached to this e-mail) no later than 4pm on Friday December 5 th to aimartgallery@aii.edu with the subject line
“Choice Awards”. Early submissions are accepted! You will receive an e-mail confirming your entry has been received within 48 hours of submission. If you have not received a confirmation e-mail assume your submission has not been received.
No late submissions or incomplete submissions will be considered. Winners will be notified via email, and purchased works must be delivered prior to award being conferred.

Most is self-explanatory, but to clarify certain areas:
Class: answer with what class you made the image for
Assignment: Name of the assignment where the image was created for
File Name of Image: this is the title of the file submitted – make sure all your
submissions have different titles, even if they are all untitled, title them “Untiltled
1,” “Untitled 2,” etc… Please name the files the same as the image title
Medium: Choose the appropriate medium: pigmented inkjet print/photograph, pencil on paper, acrylic paint, screen shot of web page, video still, photograph of cake, documentation of 3D sculpture made from steal and wood, etc.
